Adam (chrysologus400) asked the question "are you ever going to update LJ again" and so here I am after a very long time..

Much has happened over the last 6-12 months. I moved again. Out of the Timbers into The Villas on Gage. I love it here. Everything is fairly new and as Spencer puts it "...it's the penthouse.." It's on the top floor in the corner so it was a great view and has the high ceilings. It also has a fireplace and a large deck area.

I guess Erin (Brian's sister) grabbed my old place at the Timbers. Haha... It was one of the best apts there IMO as far as accessibility and space. It's also right across from Brian's apt.
Also... HAPPY B-DAY Erin!

I have graduated college FINALLY. Finished with a BA in business..which isn't all that special compared to all you med and grad students.. But at least I'm done. Working full time and going to school full time was not fun or easy..but hey... I still loved it

As a grad/b-day/Christmas gift Krista took me to Hawaii. Maui to be specific. It was nice and relaxing. I don't know what I was expecting but if kind of felt too laid back to me. We did go on the 'off' season so there weren't a lot of tourist so I'm sure that had something to do with it. Besides that, we did all kinds of things. We took a helicopter tour of the island, did some horse back riding, kayacking, snorkeling, went to a luau, tried as many different restaurants as we could, and.. of course.. went to the beach.

What's my next step? That's a good question.. At the moment I'm going to take a break and relax. Europe last summer really opened my eyes to what is out there so I plan on traveling as much as I can this summer. I don't want to get caught up in a career or job which will require 100% of me until I experience at least of few of the things I want. Already this summer I'll be going to Seattle to see Ferry Corsten in 2 weeks. Then in May, I'm hoping to go to Chicago to visit my friend Christine and/or go to Vancouver to visit my friend Tamara. Already have a Vegas trip planned for June. Spencer will be moving so we will all meet him in Vegas to bid him farewell and to celebrate his 21st B-Day. Camping in August with my family in Oregon and a possible trip to Denver sometime in June or September.

After all of this.. hopefully I'll be ready and focused. I've been practicing a few things in which I hope to be very good at by the end of summer. I'm trying to teach myself piano/keyboard as well as Russian. Not very easy... but a goal none the less.

I don't post here often but I'm on Skype almost any time Im on the computer. You're all welcome to chat with me there if you want. user name: Jared.Wible

Do svidaniya!

poker!

OK, I believe Jessica and I decided which day would work best to have a poker game. This next Tuesday the 20th seemed to work best for most people. Here are the details:

Standard no-limit poker

buy-in: $15 if 5ppl or less
$10 for over 6ppls

I will add an additional amount to the prize pool equal to the total buy-in amount. So the more players we have the higher the payout. (Ex. 6ppl = $60, I add $60 to total $120) simple, fun and well worth the time

Each player will start with between 2000-3000 in chip value (depending on amount of ppls)
Blinds will go up every 20 minutes.

Please post here if you are interested and to confirm or call me

People I know who are interested include:
Myself, Jessica, Andy, Nick, Brian, Davie? Ask around if you'd like.

Tuesday, 20th
Start between 7-8ish

Also, Brian and I thought a game of risk(regular or space) might be fun at some point that day or during the week.

And Jessica, SAW 4! sometime that week too, k?

I'm back in school... and its not as bad as I thought. The only thing is that I don't have time to do anything and my stress level as nearly doubled. We lost a bunch of people from work and everyone is working twice as hard.
Christine is now gone (off to Chigago) and everyone seems even more down because of this. Hopefully things will turn around, as they tend to do.

In other news, I've been watching the OC. It's soo good. I avoided the big hype when it was on tv, but now I realize why it was so popular. I need to find the last season...

I've finally moved into my apartment and almost got everything unpacked and organized. I keep forgetting how much I dislike moving and how much money and work it is to do so. It'll be quite a relief when I'm done and I'm excited to show it off to ppl. Within the next two weeks I'll have a party or something hopefully.

I'm back

I'm back from Europe! and I REALLY wish I was still there :P I had an amazing, indescribable time. I am though at the same time glad to be back because i did miss everyone. I'll slowly get pictures and info up as I get a chance to sort through them all.

I've realized that a majority of myself is telling me that the 3-cities isn't where I should be. So once I finish school in December, I'll probably be traveling a lot and move away from here.

The whole trip was just the experience I needed at the current stage of my life. Not only were the cruise and the sights huge eye openers in showing me only a small portion of the things I'm missing in life, but I think I was able to really come to terms with many things that I've been dealing with mentally, physically and socially. I had two main reasons for goin on this trip: 1. to have fun and enjoy myself and 2. to 'find myself' in a sense and figure out what it is I'm doing with my life and where I want to be in the future. I really feel I was able to accomplish both goals. I don't think anyone cares about the details so I won't bother explaining, but I feel live, refreshed, and ready to do more of the things that I've always wanted to do.

The internet has been off and on for the last few days and is really really slow so I'm going to keep this short.

I have a lot to tell but little time to type it all so I'm going to save it for another day. I would like to apologize for not being able to respond to everyones comments or being able to make comments, but there isn't anything I can do about that.

If there is anything that anyone would like me to bring back, let me know and I'll try to get what I can.

Nick: I'm way ahead of you on the gift thing. Its not wine though because I can't bring back more than a bottle.

I'll check back here in a day or so.

take care everyone!

I don't think I'm coming back..

I only wish that I could stay in Europe. It's amazing, even more so than I expected. I love the culture, the history, the different living styles, etc., etc.

It's been a few days and quite a bit has happened. I've been to Dubrovnik, had a sea day, and today was Rome.
I can't even describe how amazing Dubrovnik was. Like they were saying, it's the "Venice" of Croatia. If the cost of living wasn't enormous, I would consider moving there in 10-20 years. The excurtion that I went on was perfect for learning about the history and finding the right spots to stop and get great pictures from. I definately find myself loving the direct, dry humor Romanians and Croatians seem to have as well as their accents. Their actual spoken languages aren't nearly as sexy as when they are speaking english (or at least trying to speak English). This is another surprise to me because I've never thought accents were all that great (especially French, German, etc.) I also find the "err.. how do you say____" and the "humm...errr... my English is not so good..." common and stranglely attractive response. I'm loving it here more and more!

The only thing that is wrong with this cruise is the fact that everyone (99%) of the passangers are at least 40 years or older. Normally I don't have problems with older (elderly) people, but I find myself getting more and more annoyed. One reason is that the older generations seem to feel they have some special right or privlage over anyone younger than themselves. I'm very polite and respectful for the most part, but they certainly don't feel the need to return the behavior. All I have to so about that is that they need to hurry up and die (jk). They just need to learn from their companions (their dogs and cats) and learn to sleep 75% of the day and stay out of the way of those who take care of them :P.
The other problem with being on a cruise with older people, is that everyone thinks I'm between 15-20 years old and treats me the same way. I get looked over when I'm trying to get drinks or order wine all the time! and if i do to events such as art shows and/or auctions and cooking demostrations, I get a hundred "what are you doing here? You're just a kid" type o looks. So very frustrating...I guess it's really ot that bad, except for the fact that I have MONEY and want to spend it, but I won't if they all want to be asses.

They only staff that I found that actually treats me normal is the casino staff. I really would like to believe its because I've semi-befriended some of them and it's not because of money. In reality I haven't really lost much money to the actual casino. Most of my money has been lost in playing poker, so it's really just going to the other poker players. I've been playing poker every night, and for the most part with the same group of people. We've all have seem to know each other pretty well and my sisters get a kick at all the older people saying hi to me around the ship. All in all a great bunch of people. I've also gotten to semi-know a few of the dealers (seeing they are the same ones every night also). Some of them actual guessed that I used to be a casino dealer just based off of how I handled the chips and played the games. I was definately amused!

Today we went to Rome. We went to the Vatican City, the coloseum, and a fountain (can't remember the name). Again, nothing can describe how beautiful everything was. I have plenty of pic to share for when I get back. The most enjoyable part of this trip was the "free (shopping) time" where we could explore parts of the city on our own. I shopped for a little while but then stopped a wine bar. I sat outside with a glass of chard and just relaxed and watch everything around me. That was the most fun. I love that fact that their traffic and driving is soo different than in the states. "Organized chaos" best describes how I saw the flow of traffic. I also enjoyed seeing all the minis and mopeds (sp). If I lived there I would have a bike of some sort. I seems like they could drive where ever and how ever they wanted as long as they yielded to the bigger cars and busses. Another thing that really surprised me was the number of bars, pizza, wine, bar/pizza/wine shops they had. There was at least one on every block, sometimes 2 or 3 right next to each other.

If this trip keeps going as it is, I want to move here within the next 10-15 years. And if it takes me that long, I want to take a trip each (or every other) year until then to a different country. Hopefully Japan will be next on the list..perhaps Australia or the mid to eastern part of Europe. If only I could pull something like that off... It might end of being every 3-4 years, BUT I will do something like this!

hope everyone is doing great in the states. Miss everyone!

1st days

I've made it to Europe! WooHoo.. The long flights with little sleep are still wearing on me along with the 9hr time difference, but its well worth it. We landed in Venice much later than we anticipated and it took over 2 hrs to collect all of our luggage, so we were unable to actually explore this great city. It seemed to be the favorite for most that I asked, and I'm very dissappointed that I wasn't able to really see the city. I was able to see a little of the city from the boat, but thats certainly, nothing compared to touring it.

On the plus side, the boat it amazing. It's much smaller and has probably half as many people on it from my last cruise. Most of them though are over 35. Small with small children and teens, but no one worth mingling with atm. It has some great lounges and showrooms, with a small library, casino, etc. Very relaxing all the way through.

The boat has internet access, but its very slow and cost money so I won't be posting as much as I originally intended to do. I also won't be posting pictures here until I get back for the same reasons unless it's really really worth posting.

In other news, I got my first straight flush while playing poker and won $500 for it. I'm getting used to playing live (cash) games and finding that there is a lot more money to be made in these. This of course depends on the type of game (2-4, 4-8, 10-20 etc) but if you're patient enough, the money will come.

Also, don't forget Brian's birthday is coming up. I'm sure he was hoping everyone forgot about that but I'm here to remind everyone. :P

party
Here's some pics from Drew's party. (click on pic to link to gallerY) Definately a fun time, and drew was great to have the whole BW crew over.

There was nudity for a good portion of the night, which was all good in my book. Unfortunately, no pictures we taken (by Christines request). Ashley (full nudity), Drew (full), Scott (full), Kacie(sp)(full), Heather (semi), and Alex(?) were all involved ^^

Good times with the crew for the most part. For some reason I just wasn't 'there' though. I'm not sure what was wrong with me, I mean the BW ladies in swimsuits and/or 'birthday suits'! COME ON! someone should of slapped me :<

guess I have too many thing on my mind that I need to just deal with... but I'd prefer them to just go away. NEways, I still enjoyed the night for the most part.

hummm... Curious if I missed anything after I left.

RP?

amazing show (BBB)
OH MY. Brian and I went to Seattle to see Bad Boy Bill on Friday and it was amazing. Hyperfunk and Cameo were at the heart of the party.
We were definately worried at the beggining because the venue was a lot smaller than we oringinally thought and we also ended up getting there way too early. Things didn't pick up for a few hours, but once they did the night kept getting better and better!

Heres the lineup:

Pope Twins 9-10:30
Jason Lematire 10-30-1130
Cameo 1130-12-30
Hyperfunk 12:30-1:30
Miss Marz 1:30-2:30
BAD BOY BILL 2:30-4
Ryle 4-5

BREAKS STAGE
3motions 9-10
Frankie Dubs 10-11
Dj Lifeguard 11-12
Sonny Chiba 12-1
Kreeper 1-2
Sir Kutz 2-3
Richie Spoonz 3-4
Nyx 4-5

And yes the show went all the way until 5 am (9-5), the longest show I've ever been too and probably (if not) the most enjoyable). We ended up mingling and talking to a lot of people and hanging with quite a few of them because there were only a couple hundred(?) people so we kept running into the same people all night long. There were soooo many hot ladies there too.
